Our Track Record

GWI has an extensive track record for your consideration:

  • Three Ring Binder (3RB) Middle Mile Network for the State of Maine: GWI spearheaded the 1,100-mile Three Ring Binder project, which created a fiber backbone that reaches some of Maine’s most rural and underserved regions. This federally funded initiative through the NTIA BTOP program provided critical middle-mile infrastructure to support last-mile deployments in areas that previously had limited or no broadband access.
  • Town of Islesboro, Maine: GWI designed and operates a 100% fiber network providing universal gigabit service. GWI was responsible for the design of the connection architecture, PoP, and overall review and acceptance testing.
  • ECFiber, Vermont: GWI designs, manages, and operates the 1,400-mile fiber network for a 31-community Communication Union District, providing gigabit service to over 27,000 premises managing over 10,000+ customers.
  • DVFiber, Vermont: Work has commenced to design, manage, and operate a 1,500-mile fiber network for the DVFiber Communication Union District serving 24 communities and 27,296 BSLs.
  • Northwest Fiberworx, Vermont: Work has commenced to design, manage, and operate a 1,400-mile fiber network for the Northwest Fiberworx Communications Union District serving 36 communities and 29,518 BSLs with ongoing network design and future expansion opportunities.
  • Various projects funded by the Maine Connectivity Authority: GWI designed, manages, and operates several networks funded by the Maine Connectivity Authority (MCA) serving thousands of premises with gigabit service.
  • Homebuilders/developers: Our DNA includes working with national, regional and local at-scale homebuilders/developers to bring fiber-to-the-home networks to their projects; we have expertise with such projects in the Southwest, Southeast and Mountain West areas.
