Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE), or "spam" as it's been nicknamed, is one of the biggest complaint we receive from our users regarding our service, and for this reason Great Works Internet actively maintains a list of domains which our mail servers will refuse to accept mail from.
Entire domain are not placed on the blocking list easily, and have to meet with one of the following requirements:
- Domains from which spam directly originate spam.
- Domains which relay spam.
- Domains which have spam repeatedly originate from their domain and do not respond to requests.
This being said, those of you reading this page have been directed here by a refusal message from our mailer daemon and/or (if you an administrator of a currently blocked site) one of your users, and for good reason: with a bit of cooperation from a the spam-originating domain usually results in the block being removed.
If you are an user of a domain affected by this blocking, we ask that you contact the administrators or tech support for your domain and direct them to this page.
If you are an administrator or representative of a domain affected by this blocking, we would be more than happy to work with you in getting your domain removed from our list, but need you to email our abuse dept. (directly at abuse@gwi.net if you have an account outside the affected domain, or via the form below if you do not), forwarding us a copy of your Acceptable Use Policy (or an URL where we can find it) which must clearly state that UCE is not an acceptable use and also an assurance that you have instituted filters to block "relay spam".
Once we have received these two pieces of information, your domain will be moved to our "watch" list. If we get more complaints, your domain will go back on the banned list and it will be even more difficult for you to be removed again.
