NOTE: If you are using Norton Antivirus 2000 and are having difficulties with getting mail, the option "Enable Email Protection" Must be on. If not, it will not contact the Norton Proxy.

To enable Norton Antivirus 2000 to virus protect your email, you Must open Norton Antivirus then click on Options.

When options is open, click on Email Protection. Then check on Enable Email Protection. If you have Outlook Express, Norton can set it up for you. If you have Netscape, You will have to configure it manually. See example below.
