HOW TO USE THE ADDRESS BOOK FOR OUTLOOK EXPRESS

Is your Outlook Express set up? If not, go to our Software Set-up Section first. Choose version 4.0 or 5.0 depending on which one you have. If so, continue with these instructions.

Open Outlook Express. We are going to start by adding someone to the address book. Click on the Addresses button.

Here is the first screen of the Address book. Currently it is empty. We will add an entry. Click on New.

Choose New Contact.

On this screen you will enter the person's information. Only this screen is necessary to fill out. The other tabs are for extra info if you require.

Go ahead and put in this person's info as shown here. Make sure to add their email address then click on Add.

You will notice the email address appear in the field below. Click OK.

This screen shows you all your available email addresses in your address book. Close this window by clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner.

Once back to the main screen of Outlook Express, click on New Mail. In the new mail window, click on To: to open the address book.

Here is the screen to select the recipient(s). Click once on the intended recipient(s).

Click on the To: button to send over one or more of your intended recipients.

Once you have selected the person or persons you want, click OK.

The new mail window now has an email address pulled over from your address book. That's it.
