Email or (Electronic Mail) is used to send thousands if not millions of pieces of mail everyday. E-mail has become a popular way to communicate with friends and loved ones over the miles. As long as you have a local Internet connection, you can email anyone in the world with a valid email address without incurring long-distance charges. If you are new to the Internet, this can seem intimidating. GWI has devised these pages to help you understand how email works and how to send and receive your email. You will also find help with attachments, saving messages and using your address book. We will cover the most popular email programs and their different functions. Although we can't cover every email program, the fundamentals are the same. Use the links in the right-hand column to learn more about email.
GWI MAIL SETTINGS:
Mail Server is a POP3 type server.
Incoming Mail Server: pop.gwi.net
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gwi.net
Do not use mail.gwi.net in your mail settings, if you use this you will be unable to send or receive email.
E-mail uses the same username and password you use to log onto the Internet. Usernames must be lowercase and passwords are case-sensitive.
