Some troubleshooting steps!

 Intermittent Sync and Low Connection Rates

    * Check physical setup
          o Make sure there is a filter on all phones.
          o Phone cord going to the modem is no longer than 10ft.
          o Test other jacks in the premise to see if there is a better connection elsewhere.
          o If you have done the following troubleshooting and are still having the problem, call GWI.


No Sync

    * Powercycle modem
          o Unplug the modem (or hit power button on the back if your model has one) and plug back in after 1 minute.
    * Check physical setup
          o Make sure there is a filter on all phones.
          o Phone cord going to the modem is no longer than 10ft.
    * Please check the status of the Ready, DSL or WAN light on the modem.
          o Steady slow blink with no change in speed means the modem is not seeing a signal.
                + Check to make sure there is not a filter on the phone line leading to the modem.
          o Ready or WAN light does speed up. Means the modem can see a DSL signal, but cannot lock on.
                + Test other jacks in the premise to see if there is a better connection elsewhere.
    * If you have done the following troubleshooting and are still having the problem, call GWI.


No Sync Ever

Static

    * Check physical setup
          o Make sure there is a filter on all phones.
    * Test other jacks in the premise to see if there is static there as well or just at the jack you are using.
    * If you have done the following troubleshooting and are still having the problem, call GWI.
