Note: If your server is connected through a provider other than GWI, you must consult with them about getting a static IP before continuing. SMTP service requires a static IP to function.

GWI needs extra details based on your choice above. If you have DSL with us, we need the MAC address of the device that will receive the static IP. If your mail server will be dialing in, we need the username it will be dialing in under.

Note: If you need assistance gathering the required details, please contact our Technical Support Team.  In addition, assigning a static IP may add up to 2-3 business days to your SMTP request processing time.

What hostname should we assign to your mail server? Typically, we will assign mail.yourdomain.com as the primary name for the IP. If your static IP is hosted with another provider, you may already have a permanent hostname we can use in your zone file. Or if you plan on having multiple services running on this machine, you may have a different desired hostname. If you have multiple domains delivering mail to one server, we need to know what domain name is the "primary" domain name.  Please indicate if you have a hostname you desire us to use. If you don't enter anything, we will assign mail.yourdomain.com.
