GWI Named To Inc. 500 List of Fastest Growing US Companies - AGAIN!
GWI was lauded as one of America’s 500 fastest growing private companies by Inc. Magazine for the second year in a row. The magazine's Fall Special Edition features “500 Profiles of Business Success”, a prestigious list which focuses on select American companies from the total range of businesses for success in growing their firms. As was true last year, GWI is once again the only Maine-based company included in this year’s celebrated compilation.

“We are grateful and flattered to be recognized a second time as one of our country’s fastest growing private companies, an honor achieved by only a third of the companies on the list,” said Fletcher Kittredge, founder and CEO of GWI.
No Offshore Call Handling or Foreign Outsourcing of Labor
Inc. selects and ranks companies according to their percentage increase in sales from 2000 through 2003. Companies must also be independent and privately held, in business for four years (or five for repeaters on the list like GWI), with sales of at least $200,000 in 2000 and $2M in revenue for fiscal 2003. Last year, GWI experienced average annual growth of 80.3%, with a total growth of over 400%, and its 2003 revenue was $11.9M.

“Over a third of our new customers leave cable or the phone company to experience the independence and the 35 to 40% savings provided by GWI, ” said Rick Preti, GWI’s Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. “We pride ourselves on personal service. Our highly trained sales, service, and support personnel are 100% local to Maine and New Hampshire, and we intend to keep it that way — no offshore call handling or foreign outsourcing of labor.”
A Future of One-Stop Shopping for Telephone, Video, and Internet Services Combined
As we prepare to enter our second decade — GWI plans an expansive broadening of its service offerings. We have begun field trials of new voice services, including local and long-distance calling, in combination with high-speed Internet at lower prices than available elsewhere. GWI also plans to use its new Lucent Stinger ADSL2+ network equipment to add video IP services that will deliver content for educational, business-conferencing, entertainment, and customized uses, bringing its customers a future of one-stop shopping for telephone, video, and Internet services combined.

TECH SUPPORT FOR THE REST OF US
Q. How do I send pictures or files via email?
A. Once you have created your email message, select “attach” in the menu or toolbar (usually a button with a paperclip on it). Then locate and select the file or photo that you want to attach. When you send your email message, the file or photo will go with it.

When sending attachments, try to keep them as small as possible and limit the number of attachments you send at once. That way the person receiving your email won’t have to wait too long to download the email and can quickly identify what was sent.
